Up and coming lock Adam Coleman has re-signed with the Force until the end of 2017, giving the franchise a timely boost ahead of their Bulls clash.

Coleman has been one of the shining lights in a dismal season for the Force, which has borne just one win from the first half of the year.

The 24-year-old has 35 caps to his name and his been a sold contributor to the team since his 2014 debut.

“I’m really happy to be staying on for another year,” he said.

“I’m really enjoying playing Super Rugby and really enjoying my time here at the Western Force so I want to put all my time in here and make the most of it.”

Coleman enjoyed a breakout season in 2015, capped off with his inclusion in the extended Wallabies Rugby World Cup squad.

While he is yet to earn a Test cap, Coleman still has his eyes on Wallabies gold.

“I’ve always got aspirations to play for the Wallabies but my main goal as it always has been is to play well for the Force and making sure we are succeeding,” he said.

“If I can do my job well for the Force and then Wallabies opportunities come later down the track then I’ll take it as it comes.”

Force coach Michael Foley praised Coleman’s development since joining the club and knows bigger things are destined for him if he continues his trajectory.

“The progress he has made is noticed by everybody and the fact that we’ve been able to resecure his services and have a player that has developed here and cares about the team is really important.” He said.

“If Adam keeps playing the way he is, there’s no doubt he is an international prospect of the future.”
