Curtain raiser match between Sydney Fniversity Football Club and World University Barbarians set to kick off huge night of rugby

Before the Qantas Wallabies kick-off for the all-important deciding Test match against the British & Irish Lions, the curtain raiser to end all curtain raisers will take place as Sydney University get ready to tackle the World University Barbarians.

The teams have been named and the battle is set to be a thriller as some of tomorrow’s Rugby stars run on to the field at ANZ Stadium in front of what is expected to be a sell-out crowd ahead of the final Lions Tour match.

Sydney University have named a strong line-up, with a host of Super Rugby talent including Oli Atkins, Tom Kingston and the colossal Will Skelton.

The World University Barbarians are comprised of players from thirteen Universities across six countries including New Zealand, South Africa and England.

With an 84,000 plus crowd expected at ANZ Stadium, fans are encouraged to enjoy the live site at Sydney Olympic Park running from 10.00am and arrive at their seats early to watch the game as a fitting lead in to the historic match between Australia and the Lions.

The curtain raiser kicks off at 5:10pm ahead of the pre-match entertainment headlined by Aussie Rock legends, Daryl Braithwaite, Joe Camilleri and Ross Wilson before the main event with the Qantas Wallabies and British & Irish Lions kicking off at 8.00pm.
