Australian Women’s Head Coach Tim Walsh has named his squad that will play under the banner of the Aussie Pearls Development side at the Noosa International Sevens tournament this weekend.

Walsh has selected a squad blessed with youth and experience for the event, with Women's Sevens speedster Rachel Crothers the headline act in a talented squad eager to impress Walsh.

Youth Olympic Gold Medallists Tiana Penitani, Marioulla Belessis, Laura Waldie and Dom du Toit have also been selected after impressing in Nanjing.

“There is a really good mix in this squad. All of the squad are playing for selection for Dubai and this event will give them a good platform to impress. This is the ideal chance for them to stick their hands up.

“We have depth in various positions across the Women’s Sevens program at the moment and I’m anticipating that these players will make my job even harder as we move towards the Olympic qualification period.”

The Aussie Pearls will play in Pool A at the Noosa International Sevens against Sunnybank, Graduates and the Stingrays Development side.

Squad:

Katrina Barker, Marioulla Belessis, Rachel Crothers, Dom du Toit, Maddi Elliott, Tallisha Harden, Tiana Penitani, Georgia Smith, Tanisha Stanton, Phoebe Thomas, Laura Waldie, Brooke Walker
