The Brumbies might not be the bookies favourites but they have plenty of stats on side! We take a look at some of the best of them ahead of their Qualifying Final against the Stormers in Cape Town.

THE LAST TIME THEY MET

10th of May 2015 - Stormers 25 - Brumbies 24 - in Cape Town

A night to forget for Christian Lealiifano but one that will stick in the memory for coach Stephen Larkham. The Brumbies should have won this one, if only a Lealiifano conversion didn’t strike the post from nearly directly in front with 10 minutes left on the clock.

The men from Canberra were also reduced to 14 men during the second half after Jordan Smiler was sent to the bin.

FINALS

The Brumbies love finals time having won two from two in the Qualifiers - this is the third year in a row they have played in this stage.

Not such a good record for the Stormers with a shocking record of five losses from their six finals games.

IN SOUTH AFRICA

Happier times at home in the Republic for Cape Town’s finest with the Stormers unbeaten in their last five games at Newlands.

Further to that, they have also won seven of their last eight when hosting Aussie sides.

The Brumbies obviously prefer spending time at the safari park than on the training field when in Africa - in the past two seasons they have won just one from four on tour.

PRIOR MEETINGS

The five prior meetings to the one in May, and the Brumbies edge their South African foes three-two.

Their last win at Newlands though came way back in February 2010, when they escaped with a two-point victory.

The overall record is by far in the Brumbies favour, boasting an 11-6 win/loss ratio.
