It was a season of incredible highs and disappointing lows for the national Women's Sevens team throughout the 2014/15 Sevens World Series. A season that saw Tim Walsh's play some of its finest Rugby Sevens football in the first third of the season, an unexpected dip mid-season, only for the team to bounce back once again to end the season back to its very best.

With Australia trailing Canada in the exhibition series-decider at the Gold Coast Sevens in the final minute, flying winger Ellia Green collects a pass from Emma Tonegato to burn the opposition defence down the left and score a memorable try to take the game (17-15). The game was broadcast live on FOX SPORTS, with the try viewed nearly 200,000 times on YouTube.

An Australian Women's Sevens development side that featured Shannon Parry, Ellia Green and Sharni Williams won the Coral Coast Sevens event in Fiji to finalise its pre-season preparations ahead of the first round of the World Series in Dubai.
December
Basketball-convert Chloe Dalton won her first World Series cap as Australia fell agonisingly short of going back-to-back in Dubai. After recording an incredible come-from-behind victory over New Zealand just 12 months earlier, the Kiwis turned the tables, overcoming a 17-point deficit to take out the tournament in dramatic fashion (19-17). At the hub of some of the best Rugby Sevens the Women's side has played, Alicia Quirk deservedly won Player of the Tournament.
January
Head Coach Tim Walsh tinkered with his squad for 2016, releasing four players from the Women's Sevens program but awarding full-time professional contracts to Wallaroo representative Mollie Gray, forward Chloe Dalton and playmaker Brooke Walker.
