The 2003 Football Expo will satisfy the burgeoning appetite of footy fanatics according to event organisers.
The inaugural 2003 Football Expo will be held at The Dome, Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush Bay, between June 12-15.
Endorsed by all four football codes, including the Australian Rugby Union, the Expo features a two-day trade expo and conference on June 12 and 13 before being opened to the public on June 14 and 15.
Expo organiser Carolyn Ledowsky said the response to the Telstra Football Expo has been exceptional.
“We’ve had a fantastic response by exhibitors and there will be a vast array of sports products and exhibits on display to cater for the needs of all football fanatics,” said Ms Ledowsky.
“All of the national sports bodies, the ARU, NRL, AFL and Soccer Australia and their member clubs are supporting the Expo in many different ways.
“In addition to the displays and exhibits, there will be a series of coaching clinics for kids to participate plus we will have a wide range of sports stars from all four codes in attendance at various timeslots where the fans can get autographs and photos,” she added.
“Among those who will be attending are David Campese, Phil Kearns, Stirling Mortlock and Stephen Larkham from rugby, Frank Farina, Lucas Neill and Clayton Zane, NRL players from the Sydney Roosters, Manly-Warringah, Cronulla Sharks and Bulldogs plus AFL players from Sydney Swans and Western Bulldogs.”
Ms Ledowsky said the Expo will be very popular for those fans who are attending the Wallabies rugby Test with Wales at Telstra Stadium on June 14.
“Telstra Stadium is within easy walking distance of the Expo at The Dome and the best way to prepare for the on-field action at these games is by coming to the Expo before kick-off,” said Ms Ledowsky.
Family tickets (two adults and two children) are priced at $35.00, adults tickets are $16.50, childrens tickets are $8.50 while age pensioners can attend for $10.
