It was a painful evening for all Qantas Wallabies supporters last Saturday as the gallant Men of Gold went down narrowly – again – to the old enemy, the All Blacks.
It was our third straight loss to our neighbours across the ditch and would have hit the Wallabies and coach Robbie Deans hard.
But in the middle of one of the Wallabies toughest tours in history there is no time for reflection. Soon after the match the Wallabies jumped on a plane and headed to Italy where the Azzurri are desperate to rack up their first ever victory against our boys on Saturday night.
In this week’s Get Onside we have a full preview of the Italian clash from Padova (0100 AEST Sunday November 9) as well as all the latest team news and one of the new caps, Waratahs prop Sekope Kepu, reveals all in our Twenty Questions.
There’s also your chance to help some of Rugby’s battlers – Prairiewood High School in Sydney’s south-west - who have been chosen to represent Australia at the World Youth Tournament in Japan from 29 April to 5 May next year.
Now they just have to raise $70,000 to get there! The ARU and NSWRU have kicked off their campaign and you can help too. Check out all about Prairiewood in our features section.
And remember to keep up with the very latest from the Wallabies Spring Tour – including video stories from our man with the Men of Gold, Anthony “Kong” George, and audio interviews from the Wallabies Media Manager, Matt McIlraith – stay close to www.rugby.com.au
Here’s to success in Padova.
Ciao !
Men of Gold
