Tom Staniforth graduated to the Brumbies' top squad in 2015 after slugging his way through two full seasons of professional training. He has consistently been rated as the top graduate from his age group and captained the Australian U20 team during its trial period in 2014. Still only 21 years of age, Staniforth has already managed to squeeze an amazing amount into his short career including two stints with the Australian Schoolboys, two Junior World Cups, two senior seasons with Royals and a Super Rugby debut with the Brumbies in Brisbane during their big win over the Reds. Staniforth is described as an 'oddball' by some of his Brumbies teammates, but once he gets on the field, the man-child forgets about everything else and turns into a monster. Seeing this beast in action is worth the admission price alone. At club level, Staniforth has been a revelation for the Royals, leading the side to the 2015 John I Dent Cup and walking away with the McDougall Medal, as the competition's best player.
