Tom Cusack has previously represented Australia at Schoolboys and Under 20s level and is a former member of the ARU National Gold Squad. Cusack was drafted into the Australian Sevens squad for the Wellington Sevens in 2013 and quickly established himself as an asset with ball in hand.
He was already familiar with several teammates, having played alongside Sean McMahon, Allan Fa'alava'au, Lewis Holland and Con Foley at the IRB Junior World Championships the previous year.
A graduate of Marist College Canberra, Cusack's skills span further than the Rugby pitch and classroom - he has also been playing piano since he was 12 years old and actually holds an Italian passport through his mother.
Cusack was Australia's leading try scorer at the Rio 2016 Olympics, crossing over four times during the tournament.
