Front row mainstay Sekope Kepu played a vital role in a resurgent Wallabies scrum at the 2015 Rugby World Cup. The veteran notched up his 50th Test cap in 2014, becoming just the sixth prop to do so. Kepu’s absence in the Waratahs scrum has been keenly felt in 2016, after a season in which the prop also became one of the team’s leading attacking weapons who continued to build on his reputation as a hard ball-carrying, hard working prop. Taking his game to new heights in 2015, Kepu scored a vital try against the All Blacks in Sydney and highlighted his value to the Australian pack with some excellent scrum performances.
