Biography

Hailing from Maitland in NSW, Sarah is one of Australia’s versatile backs able to be the lead playmaker or run a hard line in the centres. Having represented both NSW Country and Australian Services at the National Championships, Riordan is a proud product of Hunter River High School and now works as a truck driver with the Australian Defence Force. Riordan made her debut Test in the number 15 jersey, and started her second Test in the number 12 jersey during the Wallaroos’ 2016 New Zealand tour, where was recognised as a vital cog in the Wallaroos armoury – and one of the team’s best defenders.

After another strong performance at the 2017 Buildcorp Women’s Nationals, Riordan was deservedly awarded a place in the Wallaroos squad for the 2017 June Test Series.

Riordan was selected to represent Australia at the International Women's Rugby Series in New Zealand.
