Biography

Hometown: Queanbeyan, NSW

Lewis Holland came to national prominence when he wowed the watching Australian public with a series of stunning displays at the inaugural Sydney Sevens in February 2016. Holland made his debut back in 2011 after representing both his state and country back a year earlier while attending St. Edmund's College in Canberra where he deservedly gained selection in the Australian Schoolboys side.

Holland was a member of the Australian side at the Rio 2016 Olympics but a hamstring injury ruled him out of the tournament after the first day. However, he came back later that year to inherit the Aussie Sevens captaincy off Ed Jenkins. After making a long-awaited return from injury at the Silicon Valley Sevens, Holland lead the team to their clean sweep victory, and raised the silver wear at the conclusion of the final, whilst Holland is yet to score since coming back from injury he still maintains a career total of 469 points, the third highest in the current Aussie Sevens men's squad.
