Holland made his debut back in 2011 after representing both his state and country back a year earlier while attending St. Edmunds College in Canberra. He played Australian Schoolboys alongside current Sevens teammate Tom Cusack.

In 2012, Holland and Cusack reunited in Australian colours again, alongside Sevens teammates Con Foley, Sean McMahon and Allan Fa'alava'au at the IRB Junior World Championship.

Holland was a member of the Australian side at the Rio 2016 Olympics but a hamstring injury ruled him out of the tournament after the first day.
