Biography

Laurie Weeks is the most-capped player in the history of the club having made 62 appearances since moving to Melbourne as a foundation Rebel in 2011 on the back of an impressive first two seasons of professional rugby with the Reds. His 2015 season was interrupted by a knee injury, however he returned to action in the later rounds and famously set up a first ever Super Rugby try for fellow foundation Rebel Luke Jones with a clean break in Brisbane against the Reds, and has recently re-signed until the end of the 2017 season. As the only two remaining foundation Rebels, it is a bond that also saw them single one another out to celebrate the club's first ever win overseas against the Crusaders in Christchurch in Round 1. Weeks was named iin the Rebels leadership group for the second straight year.
