James Hanson has played 10 Wallabies Tests since debuting against New Zealand in the drawn Bledisloe Test in Brisbane in 2012. Overlooked in 2013, Hanson made his return to the Wallabies fold in the 2014 Rugby Championship, featuring against South Africa and Argentina, before being included on the Spring Tour that same year. Hanson featured in Australia’s World Cup warm-up match against the USA in 2015, before being a late inclusion into the Rugby World Cup squad, replacing Wycliff Palu.
