Biography

No one deserves a comeback to greatness more than David Pocock. 2015 was a chance for Pocock to prove a point after a luckless run of injury and what a point it was. Making more than 96 per cent of the tackles, scoring eight tries (equal fourth in the competition and equal first for the Brumbies) and causing more turnovers than any other player - Pocock was named Australia’s Super Rugby Player of the Year. Having amassed 69 Super Rugby caps for the Force before making his move to the east coast, Pocock certainly had a year to remember and now has 88 Super Rugby matches to his name. This season will mark 11 years since Pocock’s first start in Super Rugby, even though he comes into the new campaign at just 27 years of age. Considered a master at the breakdown, Pocock has caused headaches for opponents at Super Rugby and Test level.
