A regular 1st XV starting flyhalf for club side Randwick, David Horwitz was first invited to train with the Waratahs aged just 18 years and now enters his third full year with the team. Horwitz once again played a key role in what was another successful season for the NSW Country Eagles in the National Rugby Championship, starting in every match in 2015. He was selected in the 2014 Australian U20 team, adding to an already impressive CV which includes representative honours as a former NSW Barbarian (2013), Australian Schoolboy (2011/12) and NSW Colts. A former Moriah College student, Horwitz made the switch to Scots College to develop his sporting talents and quickly proved himself equally adept in rugby at both flyhalf and inside centre. Horwitz has strong all-round game play and possesses great ball skills. He has demonstrated a strong ability to control the play, create stability and organisation on the field.
