Position Lock
Date of birth 12 October 1991
Height 200cm

Blake Enever joined the Brumbies in 2015 looking to make an impact amongst Australia’s top echelon of players. The Sunshine Coast born and raised lock joined the forward pack last season having enjoyed a two-year deal with the Reds in 2013 and 2014. His first term with the club didn’t go unnoticed. A season-ending injury to Sam Carter meant Enever took on a starting role for the side. His performances more than impressive, as he went on to be named joint winner of the Shawn Mackay Most Outstanding Young Talent Award with fellow rookie lock, Rory Arnold. An Australian U20s representative, Enever has the size and skill-set to make him one of the most dangerous locks in the competition. Already capped at Super Rugby level having made a single appearance for the Reds against the Rebels in 2012, Enever has spent two seasons plugging away in Brisbane’s club rugby competition with Easts where he took home a title in 2013. Playing alongside Arnold and Jarrad Butler, Enever was part of the Combined Country side which took on the British & Irish Lions side in Newcastle in 2013 and was also a member of the Reds Academy.
