Ben Meehan
Position Scrum Half
Date of birth 21 January 1993
Height 178cm
Weight 87kg

Talented young scrumhalf Meehan joined the Rebels’ extended playing squad in 2014 and made his Super Rugby debut against the Cheetahs in the opening round. He’d only just returned to rugby in 2013 after a brief stint with the Melbourne Storm’s under-20’s team, and was a member of Australia Under-20 team for the 2013 IRB Junior World Championship in France.

An excellent performer for the Rising over the two seasons of the NRC, Meehan kicked on during the 2015 campaign after Nic Stirzaker underwent shoulder surgery, and carried that strong form through to the start of the 2016 Super Rugby season with the Rebels while Stirzaker completed his rehabilitation. He’s since recommitted to the Rebels until the end of 2017.
