Matt Hodgson will captain the Force in his final career game, against the Waratahs, on Saturday night.

Hodgson, who was kept on ice last week, will make his comeback from a calf injury for the match, which will be his final Super Rugby game and also possibly the Force's last in the competition as Super Rugby limbo drags on.

The flanker is one of four changes to the matchday 23, with hooker Anaru Rangi, prop Shambeckler Vui and winger Marcel Brache all coming into the team to face NSW.

Force coach Dave Wessels said the side was determined to give Hodgson a positive farewell.

“Saturday’s game will be special for both ‘Hodgo’ and the club," he said.

"He’s given everything to the cause over a long career and we hope the Sea of Blue will help us give him the send-off he deserves.”

Reserve halfback Ian Prior is also set to notch his 50th cap, coming off the bench.

The Force host the Waratahs on Saturday, kicking off at 5:45pm AWST, 7:45pm AEST LIVE on FOX SPORTS and via RUGBY.com.au RADIO.
