The Wallaroos will face their biggest test since the 2014 World Cup this month, as they prepare to take on the top three ranked nations in international women’s rugby.

The Wallaroos June Test season kicks off this Friday (10:30am AEST) against England, who will present a fearsome contest off the back of their recent grand slam Women’s Six Nations victory.

Next up, the Wallaroos will take on the world number 1 ranked New Zealand team on Tuesday 13 June at 12.45pm AEST in Christchurch with the match to be screened live on Fox Sports.

The final match of the June Four Nations Series will be against Canada – currently ranked third in the world – at 10.30am AEST on Saturday 17 June.

Australia is currently ranked sixth on the women’s XVS rugby world standings, and the team is looking to boost its international profile as they prepare for the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup which will be held in August.

Buildcorp Wallaroos Head Coach Paul Verrell said: ““It has been very encouraging to see the next generation coming through. They have really lifted their work rate both on and off the field, which has led to their selection in this squad. Combined with the experience of Shannon Parry, Sharni Williams, Ash Hewson, Cheyenne Campbell and Rebecca Clough, we feel we have a very strong squad for this tour.

“We’ll continue the hard work for our three tough Test matches this June, as we continue to build depth for our Women’s Rugby World Cup campaign.”
