Brumbies scrumhalf Tomas Cubelli will be rested for this week's Sunwolves match up, one of three changes to the starting side.

Tomas Cubelli has been rested from the Brumbies' 23, as he prepares for potential Test duty with the Argentinian side, with Michael Dowsett starting at scrumhalf, with new Wallabies squad member Joe Powell coming off the bench.

Robbie Coleman comes back into inside centre, after missing the Brumbies clash with the Rebels a fortnight ago, pushing James Dargaville back to the wing.

Ruan Smith is the only change to the forwards, replacing Ben Alexander at tighthead, after an impressive showing against the Rebels.

A win could put the Brumbies back on top of the Australian conference heading into the Test series break.

The Brumbies host the Sunwolves at 7:40pm AEST on Saturday.
