VIVA7s officially launched in Armidale in the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales last night.
Around 75 budding VIVA7s players of all ages turned out to trial the new form of the game at the Michael B Moran Oval just outside of the city. Qantas Australian Women's stars Gemma Etheridge and Nikki Etheridge were on hand to give advice to some of the participants and sign autographs for some of the children post-game.
Member for Northern Tablelands, Adam Marshall, also attended the event.
Gemma Etheridge said: "VIVA7s is all about giving the public the opportunity to play Rugby. It's a great way for people to up their fitness levels!"
VIVA7s in Armidale was launched by the New England Rugby Zone, in conjunction with the Australian Rugby Union and the NSW Rugby Union and supported by the NSW Government.
