Cross-curriculum lesson plans

The EdRugby for the classroom lesson plans have been designed for use by Primary and Secondary school teachers and students, irrespective of their Rugby background, sporting interest, gender or geography.

The EdRugby lessons do, however, have an emphasis on upper Primary and lower Secondary levels, but the lesson topics, themes, activities and extension work ideas can be modified to suit most age groups.

The lessons:

• are based on outcomes outlined in the National Curriculum Profiles for the learning areas of  English, Studies of Society and Environment, and Health and Physical Education
  
• are related to Mathematics, Science, Technology, Languages other than English, and the Arts
  
• are organised into the Rugby themes - Rugby media, Rugby heritage, Rugby diversity, Rugby fans, Australian pride, Game of Rugby, Game Plan and Teamwork
  
• meet educational goals such as values education, literacy and numeracy, information and communication technologies (ICT), healthy and active lifestyles and building partnerships with communities
  
• reflect the Rugby values of pride, teamwork and tradition
  
• can be downloaded in pdf format
