Volunteer Management
Volunteers the life blood of all Rugby clubs. No club can function without the help of good volunteers. The management of volunteers is critical in nurturing the club's most valuable asset - your volunteers! It is important that in managing volunteers the key functions of volunteer management are addressed by the club.
This section outlines the 7 key functions of volunteer management, including planning, recruitment, selection and screening, orientation, training and development, recognition and performance appraisal and retention and replacement.
In addition, position description templates are provided for various roles within the club. These position descriptions enable clubs to provide volunteers with a summary of the responsibilities and duties, knowledge, skills and time commitment required for these roles.
Further, a summary of the Volunteers in Rugby research project and reports are provided to enable a better understanding of the volunteer environment.
