Welcome to the 2008 Rugby season!
Your 2008 Rugby Season Starter Pack (RSSP) for Junior Clubs includes recruitment & retention resources, education & safety information and administration tools to assist club with its start of season activities. The materials have been designed to help create awareness about Junior Rugby in your local community and help your club promote its 2008 sign-on days.
The packs have either been sent directly to your club, or to your State Union or Zone Contact for distribution throughout January/February 2008.

Recruitment & Retention Resources
Welcome to Rugby Flyer
An essential resource for all existing, and new registered junior players and parents. This flyer includes everything they need to know about Rugby in “plain English”, the Rugby pathway, how to get involved as a player or volunteer and some great member benefits. It can be used at sign-on days and club promotions.
Wallaby stickers
Wallaby stickers can be handed out to junior players at sign-on days and promotions. They can also be used as rewards and incentives for players throughout the season.
Recruitment Posters
Sign-on posters can be put up at the clubhouse, sports venues, local schools and shops, councils, etc to promote your Club registration/sign on days and help create awareness about junior Rugby in your local community.
Retention and Recruitment Strategies
Information, tips and examples are provided to assist clubs retain and recruit members. They include the support documents on media releases, retention letter/email, school/community newsletter advertisment and promotion timeline. Also included are some commonly asked questions for new recruits and the their parents.
Referee flyer
The referee flyer can assist in promoting referee involvement in the game and referee courses in your local community.
Education and Safety Information
Safety Directives poster
The Safety Directives posters should be placed in prominent positions in your clubhouse clearly visible for all participants of the game. Previous versions should be removed from display as they contain outdated information.
Protocol for Serious Injury & Serious Injury Report
The Serious Injury Protocol outlines the steps a club follows in the event of a traumatic injury to a player. It should be displayed in the clubhouse and provided to team officials. The Serious Injury Report is to be completed in the event of a head or neck injury, or any serious injury that results in the admission of a player to an emergency department, hospital or after-hours medical centre.
Expectations of Behaviour Guidelines Form
The Expectations of Behaviour Guidelines have been developed to encourage players, parents and spectators of Rugby to participate in the best spirit of the game possible. The guidelines should be displayed in your clubhouse and copied to give to parents, spectators and players.

The complete comprehensive law book for the Junior Player Pathway modified games of Walla, Mini and Midi. Additional information is contained on the features and philosophy of the JPP and the expectations of behaviour.
