Matt Laffan

“Rugby has had an enormous impact upon my life. Although I have never taken to the paddock I have enjoyed the thrills and spills and camaraderie the game has to offer through my association with it. Whether by writing the pre and post match reports for the local newspaper on behalf of the Coffs Harbour Rugby Club when I was at school, or by contributing articles to the Rugby News in the Sydney competition after University, or by being a member of the NSW Rugby Judiciary since 1996 I  have grown in all the ways a player does by being involved in our game. Therefore it is with an understanding of what our game offers and a desire to allow other people with disabilities to feel part of its fabric that I encourage all of you to answer the questionnaire so that others might have the opportunity to follow my footsteps and grow in Rugby.”

Matt Laffan, 37, Lawyer, Paraplegic since ten years of age.
