The Wallabies squad to take on the USA Eagles at Soldier Field, Chicago has been named with Melbourne Rebels prop Toby Smith in line to make his Test debut.

Having moved from New Zealand’s Chiefs in Super Rugby to the Melbourne Rebels two years ago, Smith has continued to climb the Rugby ranks of his native Australia.

“It’s really exciting and it’s something I’ve been waiting for a long time now,” Smith said to ARU Media.
“To be making my debut in Chicago is going to be awesome.”

The Wallabies have continued their intense training camp at Notre Dame University, with the Wallabies humbled by the amazing college facilities.

“Notre Dame has been unreal, the people here are awesome. The training fields are great and to see Touchdown Jesus has been amazing,” Sean McMahon reflected.

“College Sports is unbelievable. You come here and you see the facilities and what’s put into their sports and it’s great.

“We’re a big side in Australia and we’re coming here to see how big there sides are and it’s awesome. “

With the Test between the USA and the Wallabies the last for players to test their arsenal before heading to England, the match is definitely being seen as more than a trial.

“I’ve just got to focus on my own role and to not over complicate things. I’ve just got to do my job well and the rest will take care of itself,” Smith said.

“I’ve been focusing on both sides of the scrum, with Mario (Ledesma) helping its’ been good to get some expert advice there.

“There is a lot of experience amongst the front row and they have been great in learning off them and they are always happy to help out watching footage and working on my technique. “

For Sean McMahon the Test will be his first in the gold jersey for 2015 after an impressive 2014 Spring Tour with the Wallabies.

“It’s great to be back in the squad. I’m super excited to play at Soldier Field- not many Wallabies get to say that they have done that.

“I’m looking forward to the weekend and it’s going to be an exciting game.

“I’m just going to get out there and do what I do best and get aggressive and have crack.”

The match will be broadcast live on FOX SPORTS 2 & 2HD from 9.15am AEST Sunday 6 September.
