Rugby fans will be spoilt for choice this November and December after Network Ten today announced they would broadcast all four of the Qantas Wallabies Spring Tour Tests Live across the country.

Fans will now have the choice between watching the Qantas Wallabies Tests Live in High Definition on Fox Sports or on Australian Rugby’s new free-to-air broadcast partner, Network Ten.

Network Ten also announced that former Wallaby, Matt Burke will join Network Ten Rugby reporter, Scott Mackinnon for a special 30 minute pre-game show ahead of each Test of the Tour.

The pre-match show will provide viewers with a comprehensive insight of the match including expert opinion and highlights.

Ten will be taking the English speaking commentary from the International feed of the four Tests.

Fox Sports will also provide fans with pre and post-match coverage with host Nick McArdle will be joined by a rotation of former Wallaby greats Tim Horan, Phil Kearns, Rod Kafer, Greg Martin, and Brendan Cannon to preview and review each clash.

One of the nation’s most recognised Rugby voices, Greg Clark, will also call each of the Qantas Wallabies Tests on Fox Sports.

Australian Rugby Union Acting CEO, Matt Carroll said Network Ten’s decision to broadcast the entire Spring Tour Live ensured fans across the country would be able to catch every minute of the Qantas Wallabies four Tests.

“The announcement today by Network Ten is one that benefits Rugby fans right across the country and we are very pleased with the decision,” Mr Carroll said.

“The coverage being provided by Network Ten and our Broadcast partner Fox Sports will ensure fans don’t miss a minute of the action.

“This is an important tour for the Qantas Wallabies, there are three trophies on the line and at the end of the four Tests the world rankings will determine the draw for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

“ARU congratulates Network Ten on providing Rugby fans the opportunity to watch the entire Spring Tour live on free-to-air and we look forward to working with Ten on future Qantas Wallabies broadcasts.”

David Barham, Network Head of Sport said today’s announcement signifies Ten’s commitment to Rugby.

“This decision will ensure that viewers get consistent live free-to-air coverage across the country,” Mr Barham said

“This further helps the code to thrive and develop and ensures that it is accessible to all Australians until 2015 on Ten.”
